Greetings Friends,
Spring is in the air at Rosebud. Ken and I have been busy recovering from our successful Valentine Weekend and Wingfield on Ice (thanks to everyone who came), visiting family, working on a few surprises with Travel Alberta, and planning some more fun events for the months ahead. Here’s a quick update on some of the things to watch for (and to book for!): Dinosaur Hunting with Bill Bloss
We are thrilled to tell you about our very first Dinosaur Bone Discovery Weekend! Our frequent visitor and local dinosaur enthusiast, Bill Bloss, will be sharing his fossil hunting expertise with 20 lucky guests. Settle in on Friday night with homemade soup and freshly baked bread, followed by an introductory talk with Bill. On Saturday, ride the trolley out to his favourite bone site, where you will learn how to prospect and identify fossils. Later that day learn how to make bath salts with local flora found in the Badlands and enjoy a special interactive dinner with wine pairings. Following dinner there will be a special talk with Bill, where he'll engage you with tales of his discoveries, do some fossil show and tell and share tips and tricks for prospecting in the Valley. On Sunday after breakfast, if you haven't had enough fossil hunting, head back out with Bill for a second round. This one-of-a-kind event costs $745 per couple. Eight of the rooms have been reserved! Call to book now: 1 866 677 2211.
Photography in the Badlands Drumheller's stunning landscape is a photographer’s dream. We’re excited to host Barry J. Brady’s Photo Trips on June 5-7, 2017. The weekend includes 3 night’s accommodation, meals and professional one-to-one photography instruction.
